Since you are staying in our home, it’s important you ensure all your question and/or concerns are addressed before booking and to make sure you are comfortable with us. Taking the time to ask questions now will save you a lot of headaches later!
Our House Manual is a great way to familiarise yourself with what you can expect and what is expected during your stay.
When you book directly with Chalet de Tranquillité you will save. There are NO service fees, NO booking fees and NO cleaning fees. Our rates per night are the best rates guaranteed with no hidden costs.
Yes, One additional guest can be booked through the website. It attracts an additional fee of $90.00 per night. The additional guest is afforded the same use of the property including an air mattress. linen, towels, utensils etc
Chalet de Tranquillité comes complete with everything you could possibly need, all you need is your luggage. A comprehensive list of amenties is listed on the website for your purusal. If there is something that’s not listed, please don’t hesitate to contact us and we will do everything we can to accommodate your request.
The short answer is NO. However, there is always a special occasion that requires a special touch. Please contact us to enquire.
We have found guests prefer a self check-in experience here at Chalet de Tranquillité therefore, check-in instructions and the location of the lockbox is sent via SMS text message the morning of arrival.

Thoroughly clean
Each room is thoroughly cleaned using an extensive cleaning check list which can be provided on request.

All high-touch surfaces are sanitised such as doorknobs, cabinets, light switches, appliances and remote controls.
Cleaning supplies on hand
We provide extra cleaning supplies so you can clean during your stay.
We can comfortably accommodate a maximum of 7 adult guests on existing bedding.
An SMS text message will be sent to the person that made the booking check-in and check out instructions along with the wifi password the morning of arrival.
Absolutely you can cook! We have a BBQ and a full kitchen including an oven, stove, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and basic cooking essentials. If you are intending on using the BBQ we do ask that you clean all hot plates etc after.
House rules are listed on the website.
NO SMOKING, NO VAPPING or use any associated paraphernalia at the Chalet. If you must smoke during your stay we ask guests to please dispose of cigarette butts responsibly and, strongly encourage guests to bring their own ashtray. Please refrain from flicking butts in the gardens, on the lawn, in the pool or on pool deck during your stay particularly during a TOTAL FIRE BAN.
Yes! WIFI is included in your nightly rate however, we ask you to leave downloading of any material and updating your mobile devices for your own data.
There is a smart TV at Chalet de Tranquillité.
Reverse cycle air-conditioning is provided and is preset for your comfort. Please do not adjust the temperature. All you need do is turn it on or off.
Chalet de Tranquillité is in a semi- rural zone with no adverse noise from surrounding homes.
There is ample off street parking at no additional fee.
No, there are no areas of the property that are shared with your host during your stay.
Yes! Our pool is an outdoor, non-heated NSW Government compliant pool that is operational year round.The pool is private and is not shared with anyone else during your stay.
We most certainly do cater for the smallest adults, they are very well catered for. We able to provide for up to 3 infants / toddlers at any one time. Basinettes, portacots, baby bath, high chairs, low chairs, junior chairs, potties, children’s toilet seats, linen, towels, toys, books and DVD’s. It would be very helpful to contact us regarding the little ones so we can be best prepared for your stay.
We sure do!! The house itself is on one level and all doors and pool gates are all wheelchair accessible. We have speciality ramps, shower chairs and commodes available for the mobility challenged. Please contact us with your specific requirements as each individual need is different to the next.
We can certainly do that. Our house is on one level once you come through the front door. We can provide you with a comprehensive description of the interior and exterior areas including the pool area on request.
Chalet de Tranquillité is an extremely popular wedding accommodation type because we are located close to wedding venues in our region. If you are not familiar with the Hawkesbury you can always reach out to us to check. The closest venues are within five minutes and the furthest is approximately twenty five minutes away.
There are several shuttle services in the Hawkesbury that will pick up and drop off – they are the most reliable mode of transport to your event. We can assist you with recommendation if you require that service.
Yes! Transport NSW has a regular bus service from Richmond. It’s best to use the Transport NSW app for this service. There is a shuttle service that runs from Richmond to Katoomba once daily that stops of at cideries and breweries along the way. If this is of interest to your group again, we can assist you should you need it.
We are located approximately 60 minutes from the city and with 30 minutes to most attractions. We are with 20 minutes to Blue Mountains Botanic Gardens, Mt Tomah, cideries, breweries, vineyards, fruit picking, flower picking and historical towns are all relatively close by. If your inquiry is for a specific attraction reach out to us, we are happy to assist you further.
