Christmas has come and gone for another year, the wrapping paper and cardboard boxes have been turfed out, the Chrissie decorations have been bundled back in their boxes and now it’s time to getaway.
“The secret to a good morning is to watch the sunrise with an open heart.”
~ Anthony T. Hicks
A sunrise is one of the most spectacular sights one can ever witness. It not only looks beautiful, it brings us joy and positivity to or otherwise dull life.
Wherever you travel witnessing a sunrise as well as a sunset at a new place is always high on your list. To watch the cotton candy sunset and the city lights twinkling in the distance on a hot summers night, you find yourself laying awake under the starry sky until the stars disappear into the sunrise.

The Kurrajong Radio Museum on the Bells Line of Road provides a fascinating insight into radio history with working displays.
The old railway line from Richmond to Kurrajong was opened in 1926, the main engine that ran on the the line was known as The Pansy. When it reached Kurrajong the train had climbed 146 metres in the 8 kilometres since it crossed the Hawkesbury River. It ran at a loss due to damage from flooding and landslides until its closure in 1952. The easement at the back of our property was part of the rail line that terminate at The Pansy Junction on the old Bells Line of Road.
